Bus ride to Taormina
(700 feet above the sea) to visit Palazzo Corvaja.
Taormina's many 14th- and 15th-century palaces have
been carefully preserved.
Especially beautiful is the Palazzo Corvaja, with characteristic black-lava and
white-limestone inlays. Today it houses the tourist office and the
Museo di Arte e Storia Popolare, which has a collection of cribs, carts, puppets, and folk art.
